Stock Muffler Drilling

Drilled 2 3/8" holes into the end plate of my stock muffler last night. Wanted to start small and either bore bigger and/or add more holes.

Just those two holes made a big difference in the sound. However, the back-fires didnt increase persay, but they made alot more noise. This prompted me to do the white spacer removal (see post below) and it took care of that issue.

I may drill a few more holes tonight, there doesnt seem to be any adverse effect. (Well, except the neighbors may start to hate me) :)

I went ahead and got spousal approval for a JC muffler just in case I ruined the pipe, may still go that route, but I don't like the sound of the posts that say JC pipes turn brown on the Savage.

I checked out SuperTrapp and Jerdan as well.. but I'm tying to stay within a budget.. We'll see.
